Rolling Stone: You Need to Know Laney Jones ’13

With a forthcoming self-titled album, Rollins College alumna Laney Jones ’13 is an artist to watch according to Rolling Stone.

Rollins alumna Laney Jones ’13 was recently named one of Rollins Stone’s “10 New Country Artists you Need to Know: February 2016.”  After majoring in international business at Rollins College, Jones attended Berkelee College of Music where she studied songwriting under former American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi and performed with bluegrass icon Alison Krauss.

While at Rollins, Jones joined musical forces with Matthew Tonner ’10 ’11MBA, who now plays guitar in Jones’ band, Laney Jones and the Spirits.

Jones’ third album, Laney Jones, will be released next month.
