Making the Mad Dog

Mike and the Mad Dog, a new documentary from ESPN’s award-winning 30 for 30 series, highlights the prominent role Chris “Mad Dog” Russo ’82 played in the rise of sports talk radio.

The short film chronicles Russo and Mike Francesa’s Mike and the Mad Dog radio show, which ruled the New York sports talk airwaves for almost two decades and inspired hundreds of imitators. The film premiered July 13 on ESPN.
