Conway Dato-on Nominated for U.N. Women USA Award

Business professor Mary Conway Dato-on has earned a nomination for the prestigious U.N. Women Award, which recognizes women who have made outstanding contributions to others in an effort to uplift women around the country and beyond.
George D. and Harriet W. Cornell Professor of International Business and Social Entrepreneurship Mary Conway Dato-on has been nominated for a prestigious U.N. Women USA Rise and Raise Others Award. This distinction recognizes women around the United States who have made significant commitments to empowering others toward exemplifying the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
As the faculty director of the Crummer Graduate School of Business’ Global Links Initiative, Conway Dato-on has connected Rollins faculty and students with women entrepreneurs all over the world, helping them engage in partnerships that support female-led ventures dedicated to solving the world’s most pressing problems. Her nomination is an acknowledgement of her tireless efforts to support women both on campus and beyond as a global leader in education.
Nominees are judged based on a hybrid system that is equally comprised of a public vote and a specialized jury. Voting is open until October 25, and awardees will be announced at the 2022 MAKERS Conference in Dana Point, California, on October 26.
