Tars featured on Winter Park Magazine’s People to Watch list

Amy Calandrino ’07 and Ali DeMaria ’10MHC have recently been featured in Winter Park Magazine’s annual People to Watch issue, which highlights those making extraordinary contributions to the community. The list also features Rollins’ director of finance and treasury, Jeremy DiGorio.

After graduating from Rollins with a degree in English, Calandrino went on to found Beyond Commercial, a thriving real estate company, as well as the marketing agency Verde Works. She has served as an ambassador for the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce and was named the organization’s 2017 Ambassador of the Year. In her spare time, she runs “Amy’s Apron,” a food and lifestyle blog.

DeMaria serves as the executive director for the nonprofit Winter Park Day Nursery, the local staple that’s been in operation since 1939. Under DiMaria’s leadership, the facility has seen a boom in staff retention—from 40 to 92 percent—and expanded programing to include infants and toddlers. Her work has impacted countless families throughout the Winter Park community.

DiGorio joined Rollins in 2013 as assistant director of the Center for Leadership & Community Engagement before rising through the ranks to become director of treasury and finance. Throughout his time at Rollins, he’s served as a leader both on and off campus. He is a 2019 graduate of the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce Leadership Winter Park program and an active mentor to students and faculty.
