Shah ’11MBA honored by Indian American Chamber of Commerce

Garima Shah ’11MBA was honored by the Orlando Indian American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) at its 10th annual awards gala, where she was was recognized as the organization’s Female Business Person of the Year.

The IACC is focused on providing business and networking opportunities for Indian Americans throughout Central Florida. 

Shah serves as the chief business development officer at Direct Connect LLC, headquartered in Washington, D.C. At Direct Connect, a provider of payment products and services, she is responsible for identifying and procuring the acquisition of independent sales organizations, as well as directing this division of entrepreneurial spirited professionals. She’s also the director of the company’s training and mentoring program and can often be found coaching ambitious junior employees. 

In addition to her work at Direct Connect, Shah has served on the board of Shepherd’s Hope since 2016 and has been an active supporter of the organization’s cause since 2013.
