Schaff Named East Bay Person of the Year

Libby Schaff ’87, mayor of Oakland, Californa, was recently named the East Bay Person of the Year by Oakland Magazine for her work over the past year in the city.

After majoring in political science at Rollins College, Schaff went on to graduate from Loyola Law School. She worked in various capacities in Oakland politics until being inaugurated mayor in January of 2015. She is best known by her constituents as being a lover of her city and a fierce leader.
