A team of students from Rollins’ Crummer Graduate School of Business has been named a finalist in the 2017 Nespresso Sustainability MBA Challenge.
The Rollins team, which includes Matt Dickey, Michelle Hernandez, Austin Montgomery, and Lavanya Setia, will compete against teams from the Melbourne Business School and the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies in the competition’s final round, which will be held June 19 at Nespresso’s Lusanne, Switzerland, headquarters. The team will present their proposal to a panel of Nespresso executives and global sustainability experts.
Eight-eighty team from 25 countries participated in the competition. Each team submitted a proposal in response to the challenge: “How should we leverage our sustainability commitments to be your company of choice.” The Rollins team advanced through two rounds of judging to earn its spot in the finals.
The team’s faculty advisor, Associate Professor of Management Science Keith Whittingham, has now led Rollins teams to five semifinals, four finals, and one overall title in the 5-year-old competition.
