Rogers Wins Great Friend of Children Award

Rollins alumna and former music major Joanne B. Rogers ’50 ’05H will receive the Great Friend of Children Award from the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh this year for her work with children and families.

Past award recipients include Jim Henson and Rogers’ late husband Fred Rogers ’51 ’74H, who is also a Rollins College graduate.

Rogers lives in Pittsburgh and serves as Chair Emeritus of the Board of Directors of The Fred Rogers Company and is Honorary Chair of the Advisory Council for The Fred M. Rogers Center for Early Learning and Children’s Media at St. Vincent College in Latrobe.
