Peres ’85 receives publishing awards

Earlier this year, Mark Peres ’85 published On Life and Meaning: 100 Essays Inspired by 100 Guests, a book of essays in which he profiles 100 guests who have appeared on his podcast “On Life and Meaning.” Since publication, the book has received several accolades, including a 2019 Davey Award and a 2019 Platinum MarCom Award. It was also long-listed for the 2019 Best Indie Book from Shelf Unbound magazine, putting it in the publication’s top 16 independently published books of the year.

Peres is a professor of leadership studies at Johnson & Wales University and host of the “On Life and Meaning” podcast, which explores concepts of passion and philosophy. After graduating from Rollins with degrees in history and philosophy, he received his law degree from Florida State University.
