Darla Moore, archival specialist in Olin Library, received the 2019 Helen A. Ward Crossley Distinguished Service Award during Rollins’ Annual Staff Awards Celebration on Friday, May 24.
The annual award was established in 1999 as a means of recognizing Rollins staff members for their outstanding service and dedication to the College. It is named for Helen Crossley, who worked at the College for 59 years for five Rollins presidents and personifies this recognition.
“She’s the single most valuable asset to the Department of Archives and Special Collections at Olin Library," one commenter said of Moore. “Her passion and enthusiasm for research and helping others is boundless. She will promptly go through every archival folder and all digital resources until the requests are satisfied”
In recognition of her service to Rollins, Moore received $1,000 and a personalized trophy. Her name will also be engraved on the Helen A. Ward Crossley memorial plaque.
