Mohr traveled to Turkmenistan as featured soloist with American Voices

This past December, music professor Caitlin Mohr, who specializes in voice, traveled to the capital of Turkmenistan with American Voices. This nonprofit organization works with the international arts community to provide cross-cultural exchange and educational engagement through the performing arts, specifically in nations emerging from conflict and isolation.

Mohr was the featured soloist for concerts celebrating the Leonard Bernstein Centennial with the State Symphony Orchestra. During the trip, she also conducted several choral workshops at the Specialized Music Boarding School, coached professional Turkmen singers, and conducted outreach workshops for the American Embassy.
