Kerr ’66 donates Hemingway collection to Olin Library

Before his recent passing, Charles Dougles Kerr ’66 donated an extensive collection of Ernest Hemingway scholarship materials to Rollins, including personal library and secondary-source materials. The Charles Douglas Kerr Collection of Hemingway Scholarship is housed in the Archives & Special Collections within Olin Library, and his books are available for checkout from the general library collection.

Kerr developed his avocation for Hemingway while studying at Rollins and through his association with his Princeton, New Jersey, neighbhor, Carlos Baker, a lifelong friend and Hemingway’s official biographer. Kerr went on to write many articles and reviews on Hemingway’s work as well as lecture locally on his favorite author.
