Hirsch receives Omicron Delta Kappa Pillars of Leadership in Arts award

Television writer and producer Janis Hirsch ’72 ’15H received Omicron Delta Kappa (OΔK)’s 2018 OΔK Pillars of Leadership in Arts award at the national leadership honor society’s 50th Biennial National Convention and Leadership Conference. Hirsch was also the opening keynote speaker at the event.

Throughout her career as a successful comedy writer, Hirsch—who crossed paths with greats like Bill Murray, John Belushi, and Gilda Radner along the way—has racked up a glittering list of TV credits, including Frasier, Will & Grace, Murphy Brown, and L.A. Law. She also lends her storytelling acumen and wry wit to movie scripts, musicals, and special material for Bette Midler’s tours and shows.

Rollins was well represented at the conference. In addition to Hirsch, Sally Albrecht ’76, Mallory Bliss ’20, Addison Cursey ’20, and Lorrie Kyle ’70 also attended the event. Albrecht serves as the president of the OΔK Foundation.
