Fitchett and Meyer honored by NASPA for Excellence in Service to Students

Associate Director for Student & Family Care, Mae Fitchett, and Lord Family Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs-Community, Micki Meyer, were both recently honored at the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) Region III Summer Symposium (June 10-13) in New Orleans for their exceptional work in higher education.

Fitchett was awarded the Bob E. Leach Award for Outstanding Service to Students in recognition of her genuine sense of care and concern for students, her commitment to personalized student experiences, evidence of successful efforts in humanizing the campus community, her quality interaction with individual students and student groups, and her advocacy work on behalf of all students.

Meyer received the Robert D. Bradshaw Small Colleges Student Advocate Award for her demonstrated commitment to the mission and goals of small colleges, her significant student advocacy and interactions with individual students and student groups, and for her work “above and beyond the call of duty” while serving multiple roles within the campus community.
