Child Development & Student Research Center wins 2019 Service Excellence Departmental Award

The Hume House Child Development and Student Research Center (CDC) received the 2019 Service Excellence Departmental Award during Rollins’ Annual Staff Awards Celebration on Friday, May 24.

The Service Excellence Departmental Award was established in 2011 to recognize a department or team that consistently delivers excellent customer service to members of the Rollins community.

The award is presented to a department or team whose contributions to the College most closely reflect and embody the four cornerstones of Service Excellence: responsive, respectful, collaborative, and competent.

“This outstanding group of professionals is preparing our tiniest Tars to pursue meaningful lives as responsible global citizens and doing it with an exceptional level of service excellence," one commenter said of the CDC staff. “Despite more than tripling their student population since 2017, the responsiveness of the teachers and staff is outstanding”

The CDC team received a plaque and the honor of hosting the Service Excellence traveling trophy for the next year. In addition, the Service Excellence Committee will host a thank-you event for the team in the fall.
