Walton and Chambliss awarded ACS diversity grant for 2018

Digital archivist Rachel Walton and professor of history Julian Chambliss are campus leads in a 2018 Associated Colleges of the South (ACS) Diversity and Inclusion Grant for the amount of $30,119.

The aim of the grant is to bring archival materials related to the history of desegregation into Rollins classrooms as well as other small college campuses across the South. This multi-institutional project will also include faculty and archival professionals from Center College, Furman University, and Washington and Lee University.

The ultimate goal of the project is to help students confront and comprehend issues of diversity and inclusion in the context of their local history, society, and campus community.
