Myers speaks on expert panel about artificial intelligence

Computer science professor Dan Myers recently participated in a panel discussion for an episode of WMFE’s “Intersection” at the Orlando Science Center on the topic of artificial intelligence.

In “The Promise and Peril of Artificial Intelligence,” Myers and the other panel experts discussed the misconceptions and the reality of AI, how it helps us navigate our physical and social landscapes, and the massive amounts of data that drive advances in it.

Myers went on to address the application of AI to teaching and learning, particularly the longheld dream of creating the perfect automated on-demand teaching system with self-learning capabilities and how AI aims to make higher education more accessible for those who typically wouldn’t have access to it.
