Maskivker publishes book on moral obligation to vote

Associate professor of political science Julia Maskivker recently published a book through Oxford University Press. The Duty to Vote explores the idea that voting is a moral duty, not just a freedom, and that collective rationality calls us to vote judiciously to secure good governance and freedom from tyranny. Recently, Maskivker was a featured guest on the New Books Network podcast, where she spoke about her book and why elections matter.

Maskivker is a political theorist whose teaching and research focuses on contemporary theories of justice, global ethics, and social and economic citizenship.
