Gunter presents at George Mason University’s annual Fall for the Book event

International relations and political science professor Mike Gunter will present his recent book, Tales of an Ecotourist, at George Mason University’s 20th annual Fall for the Book event October 10-13. Crossing the far corners of the globe, Gunter’s book showcases travel—from the hot and humid Amazon jungle to the frozen and dry Antarctic—as a simple yet spellbinding lens through which to better understand the complex issue of climate change.

Over the past two decades, Fall for the Book has grown from a two-day event with two dozen writers to a four-day affair packed with panels, readings, and performances featuring more than 150 renowned writers at venues at George Mason University and around northern Virginia. U.S. Rep. John Lewis as well as novelists Tayari Jones, Elizabeth Strout, and Elizabeth Kostova will headline the 20th anniversary event.
