Frost headlines San Miguel de Allende Poetry Week

In early January, English professor Carol Frost kicked off the San Miguel Poetry Week in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. She gave the inaugural reading along with the nonfiction writer and Mexican poet Luis Alberto Urrea.

In addition to headlining the festival, Frost led four poetry workshops with participants from Mexico, the U.S., England, Scotland, and Australia. The program, founded and directed by PEN president Jennifer Clement, has been held in San Miguel de Allende for two decades and has featured notable poets from around the globe, including W. S. Merwin, Luis Miguel Aguilar, Tomaz Salamun, Naomi Shihab Nye, Carol Ann Duffy, and Yusef Komunyakaa.
