Boguslawski Translates ‘Untranslatable’ Russian Novel

Professor of Modern Languages Alexander Boguslawski was recently interviewed by NPR about his role in the translation of a Russian novel that was previously deemed “untranslatable.”

Host of NPR’s All Things Considered Michel Martin says Sasha Sokolov’s novel, Between Dog and Wolf, was written in 1980 and is known for its complex “linguistic gymnastics.” Boguslawski worked with Sokolov on the English translation of the novel.
