In its annual ranking of workplace wellness, Orlando Business Journal honored Rollins with the No. 2 spot in its list of Central Florida’s Healthiest Employers for 2018 in the category for companies with 500-1,499 employees.
The awards recognized 21 businesses and organizations that advocate healthy lifestyles in the workplace and beyond. To be eligible, companies must have an office in Central Florida, have an employee wellness program, and complete an online survey about their wellness policies and initiatives.
The College was praised for its efforts in working with community partners to collaborate on wellness events, including skin-care screenings, pharmacy coaching and counseling, massage therapy, and fresh produce delivery.
Orlando Business Journal partnered with technology and data research firm Healthiest Employers LLC to evaluate the surveys, which were each given a wellness assessment score through a process created with the help of medical professionals, C-level executives, and wellness and human resources professionals nationwide. Those with the highest scores were chosen as 2018 honorees.
Rollins’ score of 76.91 placed the College behind only United Healthcare of Florida in the region.
