For the 23rd consecutive year, U.S. News & World Report has ranked Rollins College among the top two regional universities in the South in its annual rankings of “Best Colleges.”
Rollins College has been ranked one of the top regional universities in the South in the 2018 rankings of “Best Colleges,” released today by U.S. News & World Report.
Rollins was ranked No. 2 among the 113 colleges and universities in this category, which is composed of schools that provide a full range of undergraduate and master’s-level programs. For 23 consecutive years, Rollins has been ranked among the top two regional universities in the South and has been the top-ranked Florida school in the category.
“We’re proud to be recognized so prominently in this ranking year after year,” said Rollins President Grant Cornwell. “Our longstanding placement at the top of this list can be attributed to our commitment to excellence for our students.”
The “Best Colleges” rankings assess academic quality, and Rollins continues to rank high among some of the most renowned universities in the country because of factors that include graduation and retention rates, assessment of excellence, faculty resources, admissions selectivity, financial resources, graduation rate performance, and alumni giving.
Rollins’ ranking can also be attributed to the College’s commitment to small classes and engaged, personalized learning between students and faculty, which has been the hallmark of a Rollins education since the College’s founding in 1885.
“In our global culture, Rollins excels among liberal arts colleges for our focus on diversity and inclusion,” Cornwell said. “We proudly stand by our mission to educate students as global citizens and responsible leaders, equipped to pursue meaningful lives and productive careers.”
In addition to ranking among the top regional universities in the South, Rollins was also recognized for its study abroad programs, its high proportion of international students, and for having one of the best undergraduate business programs in the country.
