For the 12th consecutive year, The Chronicle of Higher Education has named Rollins a “Great College to Work For.”

Rollins has once again been named one of the nation’s best colleges to work for, according to a recent survey by The Chronicle of Higher Education. This is the 12th consecutive year that the College has received the honor.
The results, released in The Chronicle’s 13th annual report on The Academic Workplace, are based on a survey of 221 colleges and universities across the country. Rollins was honored among medium-size universities with 3,000 to 9,999 students.
“Rollins College is a great place to work because we all share a single focus: our students and their success,” says President Grant Cornwell. “Working together to assure that our graduates are empowered to pursue meaningful lives and productive careers, we are proud to contribute to their development as global citizens and responsible leaders. We are also proud of our commitment to a work environment that values responsiveness, respectfulness, collaboration, and competence.”
In all, only 79 of the 221 institutions achieved the “Great College to Work For” recognition for specific best practices and policies. Rollins was one of just 42 institutions named to the Honor Roll for achieving high marks in multiple categories. The College was also recognized in 10 categories:
The survey results are based on a two-part assessment process: an institutional audit that captured demographics and workplace policies from each institution, and a survey administered to faculty, administrators, and professional support staff. Employee feedback was the primary factor in deciding whether an institution was recognized.
“This year’s list of recognized institutions was united in their commitment to organization culture, even in the face of a worldwide pandemic,” says Richard K. Boyer, senior consultant at ModernThink, a strategic human capital consulting firm that administers the survey and analyzes the results. “They stand apart in their recognition that workplace culture can actually be a roadmap for navigating uncertainty.”
