For the 10th consecutive year, The Chronicle of Higher Education has named Rollins a “Great College to Work For.”
Rollins is one of the nation’s best colleges to work for, according to a new survey from The Chronicle of Higher Education. This is the 10th consecutive year the College has received the honor.
The results, released in The Chronicle’s 11th annual report on The Academic Workplace, are based on a survey of more than 53,000 people at 253 colleges and universities. Rollins was honored among medium-size universities with 3,000 to 9,999 students.
“Rollins College is a great place to work because we all share a single focus: our students and their success,” says Rollins President Grant Cornwell. “Working together to ensure that our graduates are empowered to pursue meaningful lives and productive careers, we are proud to contribute to their development as global citizens and responsible leaders. We are also proud of our commitment to a work environment that values responsiveness, respectfulness, collaboration, and competence.”
In all, only 84 of the 253 institutions achieved “Great College to Work For” recognition for specific best practices and policies. Rollins was one of only 42 institutions named to the Honor Roll for achieving high marks in multiple categories. The College was also recognized in seven categories:
The survey results are based on a two-part assessment process: an institutional audit that captured demographics and workplace policies from each institution, and a survey administered to faculty, administrators, and professional support staff. Employee feedback was the primary factor in deciding whether an institution was recognized.
Great Colleges to Work For is one of the largest and most respected workplace-recognition programs in the country.
