Edward Kania joins Rollins as the next vice president for business and finance starting July 1.
Rollins’ next vice president for business and finance and treasurer, Edward A. Kania, comes to us from Davidson College, where he has served as vice president for finance and administration since 2010.
With 26 years of management experience in higher education, specifically at a fine liberal-arts institution like Davidson, we are confident he can step into this role at Rollins. He has experience working collaboratively across campus and looks forward to advancing Rollins’ mission and vision within the Winter Park community and beyond.
As vice president for business and finance and treasurer, Kania will oversee real estate ventures, commercial interests, project management, and campus master planning.
Throughout his career, Kania has developed strong professional relationships across the higher-education sector and understands deeply the unique challenges and opportunities of an institution of higher education. He is drawn to Rollins because he believes the College is uniquely positioned to thrive with its diverse platform of programs and situation within a dynamic and growing global city. He is inspired by the strategic framework and looks forward to offering creative leadership in the implementation of Rollins’ initiatives.
“I am eager to work in a campus community like Rollins that values transparency and campus-wide involvement in decision making,” says Kania. “It will be an honor to be part of the Rollins team and represent the College in our increasingly diverse and global society.”
