The College was ranked No. 1 among large companies in Orlando Business Journal’s 2017 Healthiest Employers awards.
The Orlando Business Journal recently named Rollins one of Central Florida’s healthiest employers. The College was ranked No. 1 among large employers—companies with 500-1,499 employees—and No. 4 overall in the newspaper’s 2017 Healthiest Employers awards.
The awards recognized 27 businesses and organizations that advocate healthy lifestyles in the workplace and beyond. To be eligible, companies had to have an office in Central Florida, have an employee wellness program, and complete an online survey about their wellness policies and initiatives.
Orlando Business Journal’s third-party research and survey manager Springbuk evaluated those surveys, and each company was given a wellness assessment score through a process created with the help of medical professionals, C-level executives, and wellness and human resources professionals nationwide. Those with the highest scores were chosen as 2017 honorees.
Rollins’ score of 54.71 placed the College behind only Humana, United Healthcare of Florida, and Bouchard Insurance in the region.
