The Scoop

Each year, Rollins invites the community to its annual presentation of Christmas Vespers, an evening of carols and lessons performed by the Department of Music’s choral and instrumental ensembles. An elegant candlelit procession is followed by student-performed Christmas carols as well as scripture readings that reflect on the Christmas season.

Christmas Vespers’ beautiful, candlelit services are a Rollins tradition with a rich history that stretches back to 1933. This year’s event will look a bit different, as we’re moving the setting from Knowles Memorial Chapel to Central Park on Park Avenue to allow for an alfresco evening of socially distanced festivities.

Event-goers will enjoy the enchanting entertainment from the comfort of their very own spaced-out pods, which will be peppered throughout the park to ensure everyone’s safety.
