Maureen Mäensivu wins the 2014 Thaddeus Seymour Staff Award for Community Engagement.

Established in 2006, the award recognizes Rollins staff members for sustainable and demonstrated service in local and global communities. It is granted annually to the staff member who has transformed the community through community engagement.
Mäensivu was honored for her time and work in activities and organizations, such as Rollins’ OCE Holiday Fun Fest, SummerSERVE, Second Harvest Food Bank, the Cady Way Trail, the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida, The Orlando Union Rescue Mission, Keep Winter Park Beautiful, Grand Avenue Elementary School, and The Basket Brigade Program.
A donation of $500 will be made in honor of Mäensivu toward the community organization of her choice to further encourage her efforts in citizenship and leadership. In addition, she will also direct one of this year’s SummerSERVE projects in partnership with the Office of Community Engagement.
