In honor of International Education Week, Rollins360 showcases the winning international photo entries.
On November 16, the Rollins College community cast their ballots for their favorite international photos taken by students, faculty, and staff. The photo contest was hosted by the Office of International Programs, as part of International Education Week (IEW).
IEW is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education that celebrates global learning experiences in the U.S. and abroad. This is the 10th year IEW has been held at Rollins.
“When I joined the Rollins community in 2006, there were so many international initiatives on campus that joining the national celebration of International Education Week seemed the obvious thing to do,” said Jenifer Ruby, director of international and student scholar services. “Since then, the Office of International Student & Scholar Services has continued to lead the efforts of collaborating with various offices and student organizations to put together a week of events that highlight the cultural diversity of our community through artistic expression, educational outreach, and recreational activities.”
A selection of photos will remain on display in the Bush Science Center Atrium until November 20.
