Rollins welcomes the Class of 2017 home.
On Wednesday, August 21, Rollins welcomed 555 first-year and transfer students to Winter Park, as the Class of 2017 moved into residence halls across campus. This is a transition for many of these students, as 59 percent of the students this year are from out of state.
Move-in day proved to be a busy day, as students carried in couches, bed cushions, and coffee makers—everything that they need to call their new living quarters “home.” Alumni, staff, peer mentors, and RAs all contributed to making their move as easy as possible and their transition into campus a smooth one. As the hectic feeling of move-in day fades into the past, students are beginning to settle into their new environments, hopefully making this school year one of Rollins’ best.
Classes began on Monday, August 26.
