June SummerSERVE at Cape Canaveral

Volunteers cleaned up beach trash, taught Junior Rangers about water safety, and helped members from the SeaWorld Rescue team return a sea turtle to the wild.

On Saturday, June 15, Rollins students, staff, and alumni joined together in a day of service benefitting the Canaveral National Seashore and the National Park Service Junior Ranger program. The largest turnout for a SummerSERVE event in Rollins’ history of participating in SummerSERVE activities, 50 volunteers cleaned up beach trash, taught Junior Rangers about water safety, and helped members from the SeaWorld Rescue team return a sea turtle to the wild.
